Dr. Bell is originally from Airdrie, Alberta where he grew up on a horse farm. He attended the University of Saskatchewan where he obtained a B.Sc with high honours in Microbiology and Immunology. Dr. Bell proceeded to attain a DVM with Distinction from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. Following his DVM, he completed a 1 year clinical internship at Arizona Equine Medical and Surgical Center and then completed a 3 year surgical residency program at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Bell also completed a Master's of Veterinary Science during his residency program. Dr. Bell is a board certified equine surgeon and Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (DACVS). Dr. Bell is an Adjunct Professor of equine surgery and sports medicine with the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. Elders Equine is a host hospital and participates in senior veterinary student, veterinary intern and surgical residency training through this distributed learning program. Dr. Bell has owned Elders Equine Veterinary Service since 2012.
When he is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters and his horse or fishing at the lake. Dr. Bell's main areas of focus are equine surgery and sports medicine (lameness diagnosis, imaging and treatment) in addition to the routine equine health needs of our clients. Dr. Bell was President of the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association 2022-2023.

Dr Kristine Torske received her DVM from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. Following graduation she completed an internship in Large Animal Medicine, Surgery and Theriogenology at the Atlantic Veterinary College. Following two years of mixed practice in Alberta and Manitoba, she completed a clinical residency and Doctor of Veterinary Science (DVSc) in Veterinary Anesthesiology at the Ontario Veterinary College. She lives in rural Manitoba where she is active in small animal private practice and provides veterinary anesthesia referral and consulting

Dr. Elder is originally from Southern Saskatchewan and has been involved with horses all day eventing National Jr Champion in 1963. Dr. Elder graduated Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1965. Dr Elder founded Elders Equine Clinic in 1967 and provided veterinary care to horses from all over the Province. Dr. Elder has held many offices including past president of both the Western Canadian Association of Equine Practitioners and the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society (Manitoba) in addition to serving with the Manitoba Jockey Club executive body. He has been awarded the 1996 WCAEP Veterinarian of the Year and the 2001 MVMA Manitoba Veterinarian of the Year. Dr. Elder retired from full time practice in 2012 but continues to consult on cases and provide care for horses at ASD.

Dr. Henry attained his DVM in Taiwan and attended the University of Missouri vet school for a final year prior to becoming licensed in North America. Dr. Henry then went on to complete an equine internship at Pioneer Equine Hospital in California. Following this internship, Dr. Henry completed another focused equine internship at WestVets in Brisbane, Australia. With these programs under his belt, Dr. Henry returned to Taiwan until accepting a position at Elders Equine as a fellow/associate in equine medicine and sports medicine. Dr. Henry has a keen interest in sport medicine and advanced clinical practice. His thoughtful, compassionate and thorough approach to cases is complimentary to the values and mission of Elders Equine.

Dr. Cailey Nichols was born and raised in Brandon, Manitoba, on
a small hobby farm. Dr. Nichols earned her Bachelor of Science
degree from Brandon University. She then completed her Doctor
of Veterinary Medicine at the Western College of Veterinary
Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan in 2017.
Following graduation, she completed a one-year rotating clinical
internship at Idaho Equine Hospital. She then went on to
complete a Large Animal Surgery Residency at the University of
Tennessee. In 2022, she became a Diplomate of the American
College of Veterinary Surgeons (DACVS - Large Animal).
Dr. Nichols has worked in both private and academic settings.
She returned to Idaho Equine Hospital as a staff surgeon and
later served as a clinician in Equine Surgical Emergency and
Critical Care at the William R. Pritchard Veterinary Medical
Teaching Hospital at UC Davis.
Her main areas of interest include equine surgery and lameness,
with a special interest in soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Nichols is known for her calm demeanor and strong
commitment to providing excellent surgical care as well as
compassionate, high-quality patient care.

Dr. Robyn Yaremchuk was born and raised in Rossburn, Manitoba, where she developed a passion for horses through showing quarter horse, and active involvement in 4-H equine programs. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Manitoba before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Yaremchuk completed an intense one-year equine internship at Burwash Equine Services in Calgary, Alberta, where she gained advanced training in internal medicine, sports medicine, reproduction, preventive care, and surgery within a combined general and referral practice.
Dr. Yaremchuk’s primary interests are equine sports medicine, lameness, and preventive care, with a focus on practical, evidence-based approaches to managing equine athletes. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and skiing, as well as riding and showing her horses.

Dr. Juce was born and raised in Hamiota, Manitoba, where her passion for animals first inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. After high school, she moved to Alberta to complete her undergraduate studies before being accepted into the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, graduating in 2023.
Following veterinary school, Dr. Juce completed a one-year equine internship at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine to further develop her clinical and diagnostic skills. She then continued at the college as a clinical associate in Equine Field Service before joining the team at Elders Equine earlier this year.
In addition to her veterinary training, Dr. Juce earned her Master of Business Administration from the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan, combining her passion for animal care with a strong foundation in business and leadership.
Dr. Juce is the veterinarian for the Elders Equine Brandon satellite clinic and is excited to be back in the Westman region, serving the community she grew up in and building lasting relationships with clients and their horses.
