JIAOGULAN
In horses, Jiaogulan is commonly used for its ability to increase nitric oxide production in blood vessel cells (vascular endothelium). It acts as a vasodilator, increasing blood flow throughout the body.
This has potential benefits for laminitic horses, helping to promote repair of the hoof. It is sometimes used in combination with AAKG (Arginine-alpha-ketoglutarate) to improve hoof health in cold weather conditions or due to damaged AVA (Arteriovenous anastomoses) shunts.
It is commonly given to horses affected by metabolic conditions such as Insulin Resistance (IR) and Cushing’s disease (PPID).
